Monty’s Corner is a charitable initiative developed by CCE Research Alliance, a UK-registered charity (No. 1130106). We rely on voluntary donations and fundraising efforts to sustain our work supporting children affected by cancer and their families.
This policy outlines our approach to fundraising, how donations are handled, and what donors can expect from us.

Our Fundraising Principles
We are committed to:
- Honesty and transparency in all fundraising communications
- Respecting donor privacy and preferences
- Using funds responsibly and in line with our charitable objectives
- Avoiding pressure, guilt-based appeals, or misleading messaging
- Complying with the standards set by the fundraisingregulator.org.uk
We do not use paid fundraising agencies or commission-based fundraisers.
How Donations Are Handled
Donations may be received via:
- Online platforms (e.g. JustGiving, PayPal)
- Direct bank transfers
- In-person fundraising events or campaigns
All donations are processed securely and used exclusively to support the work of Monty’s Corner and CCE Research Alliance. We do not retain donor payment details, and we do not sell or share donor information.
Use of Funds
Funds raised through Monty’s Corner are used to:
- Develop and maintain the website and its resources
- Support programmes such as “Surprise a Child”
- Create educational and emotional wellbeing content
- Cover essential operational costs (e.g. hosting, printing, outreach)
We do not use donations for personal gain, political activity, or unrelated projects.
Voluntary Commitment
Monty’s Corner is run entirely on a voluntary basis. No one involved in the development, moderation, or delivery of our programmes receives payment for their work. This includes trustees, content contributors, and programme coordinators.
For volunteers participating as part of an internship or formal placement, we provide official letters of confirmation upon request to support their academic or professional development.
Your donations go directly toward sustaining our charitable work, not toward salaries or personal compensation.
Donor Rights
Donors have the right to:
- Know how their donation will be used
- Request anonymity
- Ask for a receipt or confirmation
- Withdraw consent for future contact
- Raise concerns or complaints

Policy Review
As recommended by the UK Charity Commission and other sector regulators, we review our core policies annually and update them whenever there are changes to legislation, digital services, or our operational model. This ensures our practices remain accurate, relevant, and legally compliant.
